My stay at Targhee Lodge was a delightful experience, characterized by beautiful views and exceptional hospitality. While the dining options were somewhat limited, and one restaurant could improve its seasoning, the clean and comfortable accommodations made me feel right at home. Overall, I would definitely return for another visit, especially in ski season when the terrain promises to be unbeatable.

The accommodations were basic yet clean, with enough space for our group of four.

The lodge is set in a beautiful area, but you need to hike or take a lift to fully enjoy the stunning scenery of Grand Teton.
Dining

Breakfast at Snorkels was fantastic, particularly the elk sausage omelet, but the Branding Iron had some overly salty dishes.

The resort offers several amenities like a free ski shuttle and laundry services, though dining options are limited unless driving into Driggs.

My stay at Targhee Lodge By Grand Targhee Resort was a mixed bag. The hiking opportunities were fantastic and the staff were mainly friendly, but the construction noise during the day was disruptive, and my room was less than ideal. I might consider a return visit, but I'd definitely want to check on potential noise and construction first.
Rooms

My room was musty and hot, with no air conditioning, making it uncomfortable to sleep at night.
Service

Most of the employees I encountered were friendly and helpful, but the check-in experience could have been better.
Location
5.0
The location was great for hiking and mountain biking, but loud construction during the day detracted from the experience.
Dining

The Branding Iron was the only dining option available, and while the food was decent, I found myself wishing for more variety after a few days.
Facilities

The pool and outdoor areas were coated in dust from construction, and I faced noise from an onsite wedding.

The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, especially when we arrived late. Overall, I would stay here again for the serene surroundings and great service.

I enjoyed my stay at Targhee Lodge, especially the breathtaking views and great outdoor opportunities. however, the construction noise during the day was quite bothersome. While the pool area was nice, it did get dusty at times, which detracted from my experience. I'd consider returning, but I'd definitely check on ongoing construction and events first.

Overall, my experience at Targhee Lodge was a mix of charm and frustration. I loved the beautiful views and the nostalgic feel of the place, but I was disappointed with the slow room turnover and lack of options for dining nearby. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway and I can handle a few inconveniences, it could be worth a visit.

Most of the buildings were very old, but my room was clean and offered nice views out front and back. However, the walls were thin, and I could hear my neighbors clearly.
Service
5.0
The check-in time is 4pm, but my room wasn't ready until much later. The staff seemed unconcerned, even with small children in tow, which really put a damper on my stay.
Location
5.0
The location is pretty far from Teton Park, which wasn't ideal for me, especially being an avid traveler. I felt the drive was a bit too long for the stunning views we came to see.
Dining
5.0
There were limited dining options, with only one restaurant on-site-a pop-up grill place. I ended up driving down the mountain to Driggs, ID both nights for something decent to eat.
Facilities
6.0
The place has some nice features, like the general store and easy access to hiking trails, but it felt mostly geared towards downhill mountain biking, which isn't really my thing.
